Episode 1 Overview
Episode 1 offers a general introduction to what we will be studying.
Shaykh AbdulNasir asks three questions:
What is Seerah?
Why study Seerah?
What can I take home from this?
The first question gives us an overview of what Seerah is. He answers this question by providing the:
Linguistic meaning of the word Seerah.
Technical understanding of what Seerah is.
The second question focuses on the benefits that can be derived from the study of Seerah.
The third question relates to the way he approaches the subject.
He goes through some preconceived notions that we might hold about studying Seerah and clarifies how his approach differs from both the overly dry and factual accounts we may have encountered, or the unattainable fairytale narratives that are the opposite extreme.
